Oscar Wylee will donate all profits from its retail and online stores on World Sight Day, October 13th to its charity partner, Sight For All.

The retailer is set to raise over $10,000, which will fund a two-part project coordinated by Sight For All.

Sales revenue will contribute to the establishment of a children’s eye screening program in Australia in addition to a film documenting the impacts of visual impairment.

Chief executive of Oscar Wylee, Jack Teoh said, “Combating preventable blindness is an important goal of mine. With vision impairment cases growing around the world, creating conversation surrounding World Sight day addresses important facets of the vision care crisis and is a chance to educate the public on blindness prevention.”

As the company expands, Oscar Wylee hopes to further contribute to the fight against blindness and provide sustainable solutions to unmet challenges in developing countries as well as here in Australia.

“We’ve prioritised the importance of giving back to the global community since our early stages,” said Teoh.

Throughout the world, 270 million people are vision impaired due to eye disease or lack of glasses.
