New partnership for The Smith Family

The Smith Family is partnering with Golden Circle to support more disadvantaged students to succeed at school and break the cycle of poverty.

The partnership includes a $30,000 investment by Golden Circle to support disadvantaged students on the Sunshine Coast, where the company first began, and teaming up for their new SunHour campaign.

The campaign encourages families to spend time outdoors by pledging time to the SunHour project, which for every 2,500 hours pledged at SunHour.com.au, Golden Circle will donate a bike to The Smith Family.

The Smith Family’s Head of Fundraising Rosie Simpson said the bikes will be distributed to young Australians in need through schools which work closely in partnership with the education charity.

“The SunHour project is a wonderful way to encourage families and their children to spend time together outdoors and helps to promote positive, healthy attitudes and behaviours in children,” she said.

“The generous financial support of Golden Circle’s partnership will go towards supporting Sunshine Coast students on our Learning for Life program.

“The Learning for Life program provides disadvantaged children with the long-term educational assistance they need to attend school, engage in their learning and complete Year 12.”

Golden Circle believes that play and fun are critical to kids growing up happy, which is why they’re on a mission to get kids outdoors with its SunHour project.
