Multicap, a NFP disability services provider, is proud to announce an exciting new social enterprise in Capalaba Park providing employment opportunities for people with disability, and superb coffee.

On 16th January, the second Monte Lupo Coffee Cart officially opened at 26 Redland Bay Road, Capalaba. Monte Lupo Coffee Carts are a Multicap initiative offering employment to people with disability, providing training and opening up a world of opportunities.

Monte Lupo Coffee Carts are part of a new partnership with socially responsible local company Grassroots Espresso, one of Brisbane’s newest wholesale boutique coffee suppliers and a proud supporter of local and global social enterprises.

Barbara is the latest assisted employee to be trained as a barista by Monte Lupo and Grassroots Espresso. At the age of 43 Barbara suffered multiple strokes that left her legally blind. That was seven years ago and Barbara said she is still “getting used to life with a disability.” “I am very excited to be in a workplace that has a positive impact and offers me some social interaction,” she said.

The Capalaba coffee cart is open from 7.30am until 2pm Monday to Friday.
