NT participants will include convention centres, hotels and resorts, off-site venues and function spaces, attractions, cruise, transport and tour providers, dining options, specialist service suppliers, as well as the NTCB team.

The NT roadshow functions are open to attendance by conference and meeting planners from the association and not-for-profit sectors, corporate decision makers as well as Professional Conference and Event Organisers and Destination Management Companies.

Cocktail function events commencing at 5.30pm will be staged in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne, from 10-12 November respectively. As has become a NT tradition, elegant and interesting venues have been chosen for these events and include the Argentinian La Boca Bar and Grill in Adelaide, Pier One Sydney Harbour, Autograph Collection and CBD rooftop venue, Luminare in Melbourne. The two hour destination and product showcase will be followed by the opportunity for more informal networking, complemented by renowned NT hospitality and some exciting entertainment surprises.

Fantastic prizes will include destination trips to the NT, visiting Uluru, Darwin or Alice Springs, with trips to each location being given away at all three ‘Walkabout’ functions. In addition, a lucky door prize of a Central Australian artefact from Alice Springs-based gallery, the Talapi Art Centre, will be won in each city.

As has become an annual tradition with the ConveNTions Walkabout roadshow, a donation will be made by the NTCB and their industry partners to a specially selected not-for-profit organisation, in lieu of gifts being distributed to guests attending the events. For 2015, the recipient will be Helping People Achieve (HPA), an organisation which provides opportunities, independence and accommodation to Territorians with disabilities. One of HPA’s core enterprises is the NT-owned AusDesigns, which designs and manufactures conference bags, gifts and merchandise featuring exclusive Indigenous fabric prints.
