Located at Hilton on the Park in Melbourne from 3–4 April 2014, Third Sector Expo 2014 is set to be our biggest event yet thanks to the support of Platinum Sponsor Westpac and the participation of the sector’s best minds.

This year we will provide you with more in-depth sessions, tackling the contemporary issues impacting the Australian not-for-profit (NFP) sector. Topics will include the sector’s political landscape, shared value, collective impact and social return on investment, to name a few.

In addition to these integral conference sessions, delegates will have the chance to explore the interactive exhibition, which will showcase the latest in NFP products and services. As a sector that loves to network, we have ensured that you’ll have ample opportunities to make valuable new connections at extended session breaks and the networking cocktail party.

Here’s a sneak peak at a few of the session highlights you can look forward to:

Susan Murray, CEO, Suicide Prevention Australia

Murray is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of the community. A driver in increasing the support for breast cancer research and growing the NSW Cancer Council’s fundraising program, Murray is now tackling the challenging task of reducing Australian suicides.

Murray will explore collective impact and how your organisation can use it to really make a change.

David Crosbie, CEO, Community Council of Australia

Having held countless leadership roles in the sector, Crosbie currently steers the independent voice for Australia’s NFP sector.

Crosbie will review the sector’s current landscape and provide a forecast of what can be expected over the next 12 months – a definite must attend!

Elliot Costello, Co-Founder and CEO, YGAP

Rising NFP leader Costello initiated YGAP – a NFP organisation focused on inspiring social entrepreneurs to end poverty. For the past five years the organisation has inspired tens of thousands of social entrepreneurs in some of the world’s most disadvantaged communities.

At Third Sector Expo 2014, Costello will discuss how he creates innovative revenue streams through social enterprise, and how you too can get creative with your fundraising strategies.
