World Vision announces the appointment of Australian professional tennis player Alex de Minaur as an ambassador.

Known not only for his exceptional talent on the tennis court but also for his commitment to social causes, de Minaur will play a vital role in advocating for children’s rights and humanitarian efforts.

In his new role, de Minaur will be a spokesperson and advocate for World Vision to raise awareness about global issues affecting children, including poverty, education, and healthcare.

“I’m honoured to join World Vision as an ambassador. Tennis has given me a platform, and now I want to use it to make a positive impact on the lives of children in need. Together with World Vision, we can make a real difference,” said de Minaur.

His passion for making a positive impact aligns seamlessly with World Vision’s mission to create lasting change in the lives of vulnerable children and communities around the world.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Alex de Minaur as a World Vision ambassador,” said Daniel Wordsworth, World Vision Australia CEO.

“It’s great to see young Aussie high achievers like Alex wanting to give back and inspire children and young people through sport and education. Alex is passionate about seeing that children and young people are given the opportunities to realise their potential and fulfil their dreams.”

De Minaur’s mission is to see that children and youth are given the opportunities to realise their potential and sees this partnership as a way to fulfil this by providing a voice and opportunity to children and young people – particularly in First Nations communities.

This collaboration marks a significant step in leveraging the influence of sports personalities to drive positive change and inspire others to contribute to humanitarian causes.
