Acting Chair of the AACP Board of Directors, Toni Riley, is confident Martin will flourish in the role, citing his past engagement with the AACP through his current position with the PSA. Martin is equipped with a solid understanding of the Association’s current areas of responsibility and its goals for the future.
“For the past four years Grant has had overall responsibility for the PSA’s professional services division, which includes the professional development, national practice support and business units. Additionally, Grant has been involved in supporting the PSA’s CEO in high level consultations and meetings with stakeholder organizations and government departments,” Ms Riley said.
Martin still keeps abreast of current practice through regular locum work at a Canberra pharmacy.
Martin will replace Bill Kelly, who is leaving the Association at the end of August after six years in the position.
