The EEAA (Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia) Conference 2010, to be held from the 29–30 November at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, will be an opportunity for delegates to:

  • Discuss issues affecting the industry
  • Network with each other and key industry experts
  • Learn about the newest marketing and sales tactics from leading professionals.

The theme, ‘Eye On Your Target’, represents its natural resilience and the industry’s drive to achieve targets after weathering the economic downturn.

Matthew Pearce, President of the EEAA, said “The three conference streams – marketing, sales and operations – offer something for everyone, and we have been able to secure excellent speakers who truly understand our sector.”

Confirmed keynote speakers include regional manager of UFI, Mark Cochrane, who will outline what is happening around the region, and will be complemented by futurist Mike Walsh, who will discuss the potential of future technologies.

“The program will also include expert social media marketers, brilliant sales training and some challenging thinking to constantly improve our operational endeavours,” said Pearce.

The conference will host a thought-provoking session on the synergies existing between shopping centres and exhibitions, facilitated by Rodney Cox, Exhibition Trade Fairs, with John Batistich, General Manager of Westfield Marketing and Shaun Swanger of Halo Brand Bank.
