Our members…

Are a diverse mix of parents and carers with children that go to playgroup, as well as professionals and agencies who work with or have a professional interest in playgroups. At the end of the financial year we had 26,000 members from all corners of Victoria.

The biggest challenge our membership faces is…

Running a playgroup – finding an appropriate venue, encouraging more families to take on leadership roles and coming up with ideas each week to keep their playgroup vibrant.

Assistance from a playgroup member consultant in their region, online services provided through a new video channel, e-newsletters that are tailored to membership type, a home-delivered member magazine, free workshops
and more.

The importance of playgroup in the early years for every Victorian. Playgroups connect communities, support parents and families and bring generations together. Playgroup lays the foundation for the journey through the early years of education and helps children move smoothly on to formal learning environments.

Is raising the profile of playgroup and responding to community needs as shown in our response to families in Victoria’s bushfire affected areas.
