Domino’s registered charity is pleased to announce the appointment of Helen Poropat as the Chairperson of the Give for Good board to drive its pizza with a purpose commitment.

Currently the Principal Director of Review Respond Resolve, a dispute resolution and organisational consulting service, Helen brings to Give for Good over two decades of experience as a dispute resolution expert and community and engagement specialist.

Holding a variety of leadership roles over her career, Helen has considerable experience working across government, not-for-profit, and business sectors providing strategic advice on workplace conflicts, performance issues, engagement practices, and service improvements.

Executive Director and Interim Chair of Give for Good, John Harney said Helen’s extensive business relationship expertise and governance experience is the perfect combination of skills to Chair the Give for Good Board and help the charity with its next phase of growth and development.

“The Give for Good Board warmly welcomes Helen to our organisation and looks forward to working with her in continuing to give back to our communities in which we operate through our core giving values of youth, leadership, rural communities and disaster relief.

“Helen’s passion for working in the non-for-profit sector is evident through her previous experience as Chairperson and Non Executive Director of Relationships Australia Queensland and Non Executive Director of National Education and Employment Foundation.

“We are excited to see Give for Good continue to grow into a world-leading charity with the support of a committed board, employees and Domino’s franchises alongside the generosity of our customers who donate through Round Up for Charity,” Mr Harney said.

Ms Poropat said she was eager to work with Give for Good due to the core values of the charity aligning with her own.

“Give for Good has done such great work giving back to the Australian communities through their ongoing partnerships with charities such as Lifeline, Rural Aid and The Smith Family as well as other organisations.

“I am looking forward to working closely with the team to continue this excellent work and grow Give for Good so we are able to help more people in need.”

With a giving philosophy focused on four key areas, Give for Good aims to develop sustainable best practices that make a difference. The partnership with the Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre falls across two of Give for Good’s core pillars: Education and Youth Initiatives and Leadership and Entrepreneurship, whereby Give for Good aims to have an impact on the education of future leaders.

Give for Good secures much of its funding through Domino’s ‘Round Up for Charity’ initiative. Generous pizza lovers who wish to support Give for Good’s partnership with the Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre, The Smith Family, Rural Aid and Lifeline (along with other important Australian-based initiatives), are encouraged to round up their next Domino’s order when paying online.

Helen Poropat replaces Give for Good’s inaugural Chairperson, Helen Darch, who finished with the charity in June 2021 after three years of serving as Chair.
