Professor Hood is currently chair of the Australian Green Infrastructure Council, however he will step down from this role when he takes the position of National President of Engineers Australia in 2012.

The Professional Golfers Association of Australia has appointed Brian Thorburn as its new Chief Executive Officer, commencing in July 2011.

Thorburn held executive positions in the banking sector before moving into sports management in 1996.
