Thanks to the support of Platinum Sponsor Westpac and Gold Sponsors bankmecu and R & G Technologies, the interactive two-day professional development conference and exhibition will unite leaders from the not-for-profit (NFP) sector, including professional and industry associations, member benefit organisations, community groups, advocacy groups, charities and foundations.

The conference program features over 45 presentations from a variety of NFP leaders and industry experts.

Here’s a sneak peak of just some of the many speakers and topics on offer:

Linda Lavarch, Chair, NFP Sector Reform Council

Lavarch holds the position of Chair of the Federal Government’s NFP Sector Reform Council – a representative advisory panel appointed by the Federal Government to give high level advice on its NFP reform agenda. She is also Chair of the NFP Tax Concession Working Group and serves on many NFP boards.

Lavarch will review the Federal Government’s reform agenda and outline what can be expected this year.

David Simon, Head of Policy and Regulatory Affairs, Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA)

As ADMA’s Head of Policy and Regulatory Affairs, Simon directs ADMA’s compliance operations by helping members to understand their legal obligations.

Simon will discuss changes to Australia’s privacy policies and how they will impact your NFP organisation’s marketing practices.

Gregg Vines, Director of Public Engagement, Oxfam

Vines has worked in a number of public relations, policy, public affairs and communications roles. He has had experience leading high profile lobbying, awareness and fundraising campaigns across children’s programs and advocacy, social welfare, health and employment rights.

Vines will explain how he mobilises and engages the public in support of Oxfam’s work.

Louisa Fitz-Gerald, National Pro Bono Manager, Cancer Council NSW

Fitz-Gerald has been the National Manager of the Cancer Council’s Pro Bono Programs for over four years. Before joining the Cancer Council, Fitz-Gerald was a solicitor at the law firm Baker & McKenzie in Sydney and now acts as the General Counsel to Cancer Council NSW.

Fitz-Gerald will reveal the Cancer Council’s proven strategy of partnering with professional firms to secure volunteers.

Third Sector Expo 2013 will also feature an exhibition of the latest NFP products and services, providing a great opportunity to receive FREE professional advice from suppliers.

Smaller NFPs can register to receive one of just 50 free passes left. The event has been heavily subsidised so larger NFPs can attend for just $189 each.
