What is your favourite aspect of Third Sector Expo?

The variety of presentations together with the detail of information presented provides a great opportunity to consider changes in your own organisation. It’s just the right amount of information to provide you with insight into how a few small changes or ways of thinking can contribute significantly to how you approach your work.

What was the most valuable thing you took away from the event last year?

Listening to different perspectives and being open to different ways of doing things is something I was reminded of last year and have continued to carry through. There is usually more than one way to do something and learning how other organisations do things can spark a new idea or way of thinking. I find that really valuable.

What are you most looking forward to at Third Sector Expo 2013?

I love the passion and experience that comes out during question time from individuals in the audience. It’s reassuring that there are so many people who provide enormous benefit to a number of communities. It’s nice to know that you are a part of something bigger, as smaller organisations can sometimes be overwhelmed with their daily work.
