The AASW Code articulates the core values and principles of the social work profession and provides a guide to ethical social work practice.

The current review provides social workers and other stakeholders with an opportunity to be part of the process of developing a new Code, which the AASW says will guide the industry for many years to come.

The AASW Code was last thoroughly reviewed in 1999.
