World Pizza Day

Do you love pizza and doing good? Well, now you can do both during World Pizza Day! On Wednesday, 9 February 2022, Domino’s will host its inaugural Domino’s for Good Day – a national ‘Doughraiser’ event set to raise funds for Domino’s registered charity, Give for Good.

Conveniently held on World Pizza Day, Domino’s for Good Day will see the Company and its franchisees come together for a good cause, donating $1 from every Value Max, Traditional and Premium pizza sold on that day to Give for Good to continue its support of charity partners, including Lifeline, The Smith Family and Rural Aid.

Domino’s ANZ CEO David Burness said the opportunity for Domino’s stores to come together on this day in support of the Company’s registered charity, Give for Good, was a ‘dough’ brainer.

“There’s no better day of the year to launch Domino’s for Good Day than on a day dedicated to something we are all so passionate about: pizza!” Burness said

“All year round, our stores take pride in supporting the local communities in which they operate – whether it be a pizza donation to those in ‘knead’ of a hot meal, a ‘Doughraiser’ to raise some much-needed funds for a local cause, or team members donating their time and skills to assist those doing it tough.

“We’re always looking for ways to give back to our local communities and put a smile on people’s faces, and this World Pizza Day is no different. Through this initiative, we’re aiming to raise more than $150,000 across 700+ Domino’s stores to do some serious GOOD in communities right across Australia.”

Established in 2016, Domino’s registered charity Give for Good is committed to making a fundamental difference in the lives of Australians everywhere, helping to spread a ‘pizza’ kindness near and far through major charity partners such as Lifeline, Australia’s largest crisis support line; The Smith Family, Australia’s leading children’s education charity; and Rural Aid, Australia’s leading rural and regional charity.

Give for Good General Manager Bronwyn Spencer said, “We look forward to launching Domino’s for Good Day and being able to provide even more support to our charity partners and communities in ‘knead’ across Australia.”
