The awards, from the Australian Charities Fund, celebrate the leadership and initiatives of employers and community organisations in promoting awareness of, and participation in, workplace giving.

The CEO of Australian Charities Fund (ACF) Edward Kerr said the judges were impressed by the number of high quality of submissions.

“The quality of submissions made choosing a winner in some categories very difficult. As a result, there were a number of instances where the judges recommended issuing a Highly Commended Award in addition to naming a winner,” Kerr said.

Some of those awarded include:

  • Redkite – Winner – Best Practice: Community Organisation Award
  • Camp Quality, the children’s family cancer charity – Winner – Collaboration Award – Joint Award Employer Organisation/Community Organisation
  • Save the Children – Highly Commended – Collaboration Award – Joint Award Employer Organisation/Community Organisation
  • Julianne Cowley, AusAID – Highly Commended – Inspirational Leadership Award.

Third Sector congratulates everyone involved.
