Give for Good

Two Brisbane-based national charities are joining forces in a partnership for good, with Domino’s registered charity Give for Good announced a one-year partnership with Orange Sky Australia, a charity which provides free mobile laundry and shower services to those experiencing homelessness across Australia.

With a commitment to supporting Australia’s rural and remote communities, over the course of the partnership, Give for Good will support Orange Sky Australia’s Outreach Operations in the remote Western Australian community of Bidyadanga by providing funding towards a vehicle, which will offer a mobile laundry service to those in need.

Through their mobile service, Orange Sky Australia is committed to positively connecting communities across the country, including those experiencing homelessness, doing it tough and also community members affected by natural disaster, by providing dignity and support through clean clothes, warm showers and genuine conversation and connection.

Additionally, Orange Sky Australia is focused on supporting those living in remote communities, where access to laundry services can be limited.

Give for Good General Manager Bronwyn Spencer said the charity is passionate about supporting rural communities and is looking forward to making an impactful difference through the partnership with Orange Sky Australia.

“Give for Good’s giving philosophy focuses on four key areas where we aim to make a difference, and two of these are remote communities and disaster relief, which are also a focus for Orange Sky Australia.

“At Give for Good, we believe in giving back to communities who are doing it tough, and know that all too often, rural and remote communities are disadvantaged and isolated due to their location. Through this partnership with Orange Sky Australia, we hope to help support these communities, ensuring they feel connected, and do not go without.

“While the mobile laundry and shower services Orange Sky Australia provides for those in need are essential, so too is the conversation and connection their volunteers give to those they are helping.

“While we are a national charity, Give for Good was founded in Brisbane, so there is something very special about partnering with another local charity that is making a difference across the country, and we look forward to seeing what we can  achieve together over the next twelve months.”

Committed to positively connecting Australians, particularly those in remote communities where access to health hardware can be limited and costly, Orange Sky Australia’s Co-Founder Nic Marchesi, said they were grateful for Give for Good’s support and shared vision.

“With Give for Good’s support going towards funding a specially designed remote laundry vehicle, we are looking forward to expanding our reach and supporting the Bidyadanga community with free and reliable laundry facilities.

“We value building strong connections with local communities, and through our partnership with Give for Good, know that we are building a really strong and positive connection with our friends in Bidyadanga and making an impact to their community.”

Give for Good secures much of its funding through Domino’s ‘Round Up for Charity’ initiative. Generous pizza lovers who wish to support Give for Good’s partnership with Orange Sky Australia, along with other important Australian-based initiatives, are encouraged to round up their next Domino’s order when paying online.
