This week, children’s charity Royal Far West was honoured to be recognised as one of Australia and New Zealand’s Best Places to Work, for the second year in a row. The prestigious annual list, published by The Australian Financial Review and Boss Magazine, is based on a rigorous assessment process managed by Australia’s leading behavioural science consultancy, Inventium.

Royal Far West’s CEO Jacqueline Emery said, “We are honoured to be selected from nearly 750 nominated organisations across Australia and New Zealand. The result is testament to all the wonderful people who make up this organisation – our staff, board members and volunteers.

“We are an innovative organisation that is driven by our mission to make an impact by improving the health and wellbeing of Australia’s country kids. Our team also care deeply for each other. It’s these meaningful connections which make Royal Far West a very special place to work.”

In this year’s survey employee wellbeing scored very highly. A special mention was also given to the Discover & Dream Summit which followed a period of growth and transformation for the organisation. The summit sought to deeply engage employees in the execution of the new five-year strategy which will see the implementation of more mature operating structures and systems to protect, grow and enhance the mission of Royal Far West.

The event complemented work already being conducted to enhance and strengthen Royal Far West’s culture and values and its vision for healthy country kids.

The 2022 results again reflect the high priority that Royal Far West places on employee wellness, promoting sustainable and flexible working norms and encouraging smart working practices.

The assessment was made up of a staff survey and a written submission, with questions relating to policies, practices and programs that exist within our organisation to support and seek the best from our employees. The methodology is underpinned by Inventium’s Workplaces of the Future framework, which identifies 10 key factors that are critical to employees feeling motivated and engaged at work and is supported by extensive research.

Dr Amantha Imber, Founder, Inventium, says, “Inventium is proud to announce the 2022 Best Places to Work list in conjunction with the Australian Financial Review. We have undertaken extensive research into what truly makes a brilliant workplace and we are thrilled to recognise many organisations who are leading the way with innovative practices that drive key elements such as flexibility, wellbeing and equality”.
