Federal Government releases publication on reform agenda

Reform agenda features outlined in the publication include:

• Improving the relationship between the Government and the not-for-profit (NFP) sector, especially around the implementation of the National Compact agreement and streamlining reporting and funding arrangements for the NFP sector
• Streamlining and improving regulation of the NFP sector through the establishment of the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission, a national approach to fundraising, and a statutory definition of charity
• Promoting the long-term sustainability of the NFP sector, in particular social investment and measuring the contribution of the NFP sector.
